Business Analyst (Knowledge Analyst)

Role Overview
This role requires a Business Analyst with extensive experience of working in a technology environment to liaise with corporate clients and get a solid understanding of complex business areas and technologies. You will gather targeted knowledge, consolidate it with existing knowledge and re-organise it to be delivered to the client in a well-structured and focused multi-media knowledge base.

Job Description

  • Analyst existing knowledge sources, information repositories and identify gaps
  • Interpret written requirements and technical specification documents
  • Gather inputs from various sources, assimilate, organise and present
  • Conduct interview sessions
  • Organise and manage knowledge transition activities
  • Coordinating project and task allocations
  • Planning, tracking and reporting of project related activities
  • Conducting client workshops
  • Leading a team of Analysts (although you may also be stand-alone on projects)
  • Adhere to quality management guidelines set out by the business
  • Actively part take in quality management initiatives where applicable
  • Make suggestions for improvements regarding quality management and sustainability


  • Ability to interact well with clients and build rapport
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Should be able to concise questions and have effective listening skills
  • Excellent team player with a collaborative approach to work
  • Should be proficient in drafting documentation/processes/plan using a variety of tools including MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Visio
  • Ability to carry out research
  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning abilities, detail oriented and quality driven
  • Basic understanding of multiple technologies
  • Good knowledge of IT project delivery cycle
  • Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to travel
  • Programming/software development experience (.net, Java, Unix, Mainframe, etc)
  • Experience in IT architecture design
  • Experience in IT Support or Service Management
  • Understanding of business process modelling tools and techniques
  • Ability to speak another European or Arabic language would be an added advantage
  • An interest in Multimedia/audio/video would be an added advantage
